Another giveaway!

I’m not giving anything away. I don’t have enough readership for that. I’d just end up giving it to a family member, I’m sure!

No, MckMama is hosting an AWESOME giveaway at her blog. She’s giving away Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2. I sooooo want this! And seeing as I’ve had a pretty lucky year (see […]

Advent Activities-Day 3

I read an article in a magazine about a family that comes up with holiday-related activities for days leading up to Christmas, starting on December 1. They put them in pockets on their hanging Advent calendar. I thought it sounded really fun. I love the idea of starting a tradition like this in our family. […]

You Capture: Tell a story

Beth challenged us to tell a story using photos of what makes us happy. I decided spending time with my boys makes me happy. Decorating the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music makes me happy. And some yummy bokeh makes me happy!

NaBloPoMo 2009 is over!

30 posts in 30 days. Done. Yeah me! And I think most of my content was pretty worthwhile!

I’ll try not to be too much of a stranger, but I’ll try to save posts for times when I have something that may be interesting to you 7 readers.

But first a couple of things.

1. […]

Meet “Octopus Crime”

Last night, Caden and Noah made a wish on the wishbone from my mother-in-law’s Thanksgiving turkey. Caden won, and told Andy he wished for Bumblebee from the “Tranformers” movie. Not that he’s ever seen the movie or anything!

Anyway, today when we were there to pick the boys up (they slept over last night, which […]

Handmade for the Holidays

Have you discovered Etsy? I was introduced to Etsy by my dear SIL, Catheroo. It is a great site to find all things handmade. There are the odd things (WARNING: GRAPHIC MATERIAL! I did not discover these myself! Seriously!), pretty things, weird things, and everything in between.

Over at Beth’s blog, I Should Be Folding […]

Go Big Red!

Today the Wisconsin Badgers played the Michigan Wolverines, and won! the final score was 45-24. It was a great game for me, seeing as it’s the first, and only, game I’ll go to this year. Andy and I took his sister, Lis, and our friend, Doug. We usually park at the same place for every […]

Let’s Go Fly a Kite!

This past Saturday, when the temperature soared into the upper 60’s (hey, that’s really high for my neck of the woods in November!), we took the time to clean out our garage. We tossed out a bunch of broken toys, organized the toy bucket, swept out the tree worth of leaves, and got […]

Pumpkins

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to go with Noah on his field trip to the pumpkin farm. I took pictures of the kids: petting a snake (ick!), feeding the goats (ick!) and playing in the loose hay (fun!). But I also took pictures of pumpkins. Lots and lots of pumpkins.

Fun with a buddy

We were invited to our friends’ house for dinner tonight, and were very excited to go. Unfortunately, I think Caden has another round of pink eye, and I didn’t think it would be the best thing to let him run around with their kids. So just Noah and I went, leaving Caden to have a […]
