I like this fun bloggy carnival that Lissa started. This week, I’m thankful for free*, mid-week family entertainment, and balmy temps in the mid-40’s on November 19!
Tonight we went to the Holiday Lights Festival in downtown Milwaukee. This is when they flip the switch for the holiday lights in Pere Marquette […]
On Friday night, we had our families over to celebrate Noah’s birthday. He was thrilled to find more Legos under the wrapping paper, along with more Star Wars stuff.
He also raked in a bunch of dollar bills from his aunt and uncle. Lizzy put her dollar bills in ever […]
The timing of this challenge was perfect! We headed out to The Elegant Farmer (home of the famous Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag) on Sunday to do some apple picking and pumpkin selecting. It was a gorgeous day to start, but then the wind picked up and we got rained […]
The other day, Andy was able to get discounted tickets to the Brewer game. Since the season is rapidly coming to a close, we decided to take the boys one last time for the 2009 season. And the seats were in “Awesomeville” as Andy put it, so we really had a great time. I’ll let […]
We made it! Noah had his first full day of kindergarten today. And he was a total rock star! I was a wreck (thank goodness big sunglasses are in style and it was sunny today!), but he was a champ! I’m really proud of him.
We made sure we were up and […]
Noah starts kindergarten tomorrow. My heart is aching. It’s the end of an era! I can’t believe he’s old enough to go to kindergarten! But he’s totally ready. Completely ready. I’m not.
Today the boys got to play at three different parks with Grandma, then this afternoon we had some time to play outside before […]
Today is my 300th post! Yea me!
Anyway, today is a little more special than that. Today is my dear SIL’s birthday! Catheroo loves her birthday, as you can read here. And she deserves every second of fun and happiness on her big day!
About a year ago, my parents and I were able to […]
Andy and I convinced the boys to head out for a walk around the neighborhood tonight, and we really walked. I couldn’t believe the boys made it the whole way! The weather was perfect, and the sky was full of airplanes and jet trails, while also showcasing a warm sunset.

Today the forecast called for hot and humid weather. I headed out for a run this morning, which turned into a walk because of the humidity (at least that’s what I’ll blame it on!). I figured it was a good day to hit the beach. The boys agreed.
One of our local beaches is on […]
Today was Andy’s dad’s family’s annual reunion. Andy’s dad’s mother was one of 12 kids, so it’s a big group. I really know nothing of large families like that. When we got married, my entire family (at the time) numbered 21. That’s including aunts, uncles, cousins, all of ’em. Andy’s family that attended our wedding […]
