Ode to 2009

We’ve had quite a year, a year so fine.

Let’s review what’s happened for the Hoffman’s in 2009!

The year started with visiting the art museum and Domes.

Noah lost his first tooth and the tooth fairy visited our home.

In February we drove to […]

Four

My baby is four. How did this happen? I swear we just brought him home from the hospital! Here he was then:

Santa even came to the hospital! (Please ignore my double-chin in this shot. Having a 10+ pound baby will do that to you!)

Here’s Caden today:

It has been a […]

I Heart Faces: Sweet Dreams

I’m going to give this another shot. I love this picture of Caden sleeping. His hair is awesome! And thanks to the fun on Picnik through my Flickr account, I was able to do some fun processing to the picture. Isn’t it dreamy?

You can see more here.

You Capture: Tell a story

Beth challenged us to tell a story using photos of what makes us happy. I decided spending time with my boys makes me happy. Decorating the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music makes me happy. And some yummy bokeh makes me happy!

I Heart Faces: Tooshies!

I’m giving it a go again! Here’s the tooshie shot I chose to enter in the contest this week:

My aunt made a good point: it’s 2-for-1! I love this shot. Andy is reading to Caden. Why Caden chose to sit on Andy’s back like that is beyond me!

Check out […]

NaBloPoMo 2009 is over!

30 posts in 30 days. Done. Yeah me! And I think most of my content was pretty worthwhile!

I’ll try not to be too much of a stranger, but I’ll try to save posts for times when I have something that may be interesting to you 7 readers.

But first a couple of things.

1. […]

Meet “Octopus Crime”

Last night, Caden and Noah made a wish on the wishbone from my mother-in-law’s Thanksgiving turkey. Caden won, and told Andy he wished for Bumblebee from the “Tranformers” movie. Not that he’s ever seen the movie or anything!

Anyway, today when we were there to pick the boys up (they slept over last night, which […]

Random events from today

This morning we headed downtown to the children’s museum with our friends, Steph, Maddie, and Katie. It’s always a fun thing to do with the kids, and even more fun today was driving down all together in the minivan. The kids were crazy! And then while we were there, Caden and Katie found their buddy, […]

The holidays are coming

Now that Halloween is over, apparently it’s time to get all things Christmas out on the shelves in stores: Christmas candy at the grocery store, Christmas trees, wrapping paper and ornaments at Target. The Christmas music will probably start shortly on the radio.

It also means that it’s time for the influx of catalogs. I’m […]

Who knew…

…that Obi Wan Kenobi rides a three-wheeled scooter wearing a red fire engine helmet, pulling tricks?

And he also likes to play street hockey on our driveway with Andy and a hockey stick that’s way too long for him?

(Like […]
