I wasn’t the biggest fan of this week’s challenge. Beth is apparently feeling we are ready to get tough! I dream of having a macro lens and capturing amazing shots of inner workings of all things. I would love to be able to get shots of drops of water like this (another amazing shot by Keli of Kidnapped by Suburbia). But alas, no macro lens for me now. So I pulled out my trusty old 18-55 mm lens that came with my camera (I’m actually not a huge fan of that lens) to see if it would help get some up-close shots. Here’s what I’ve got for this week.
The mums sitting on my front step. Yep, it’s mum season.
I loved how the colors are changing on this leaf.
I really like the different colored leaves on the one branch.
A shot of an “Irish Eyes Gloriosa Daisy”. I love the green eyes!
Not necessarily as “macro” as I’d like them to be, but nice and close anyway.
Let’s see what other people did at Beth’s.
oh
em
gee
these are all amazing!! the colors are WOW! my kit lens does NOT make amazing bokeh like that.
and you are making me blush again. thank you.
Oh wow. Those leaf photos are amazing! Such great colors. I wish we had trees around here like that. Great captures!
I love the fall leaves, beatiful!!
I think they’re great!! I especially love the color-changing leaves and the daisy! Beautiful!
I think you did a great job! Love the leaf that is part green part red. It makes me think the leaf is indecisive. And I need to know indecisiveness in out there in the world, and it’s not just me. 🙂
I think that you were ready to get tough!! Great job. These are fantastic.
Yes, the monorail! 😉
Wow, these are all very lovely shots!!! My faves would have to be the leaves.
Love the daisy, but all great shots.
I did leaves this week, too! I love your shots!
great shots! I really can’t decide a fave! Thanks for sharing!
The second shot is gorgeous. I love them all!
Your photos are amazing! Wow, I wish I had flowers like that, so beautiful! =)
I know what you’re saying. I think *I’m* going to kidnap Keli and make her teach me everything she knows. She amazes me!!
I think you did an EXCELLENT job! Really! I tried using my 18-55mm lens, but couldn’t get anything. I ended up getting my 70-200mm out and just standing back and zooming in. It was tough, but I managed to get a couple of shots.
I love your last one, so crisp. The leaves are wonderful, too. Makes me excited for the leaves to start changing here!
I jealous that everyone else seems to have fall shots – and I just have dying summer colors, no orange and reds yet. Oh, well soon enough.
Thanks for sharing your pictures.I love the flower shots, but I am a flower geek myself!
I love the muted colors of your shots. These are beautiful. Oh how I wish I could enjoy the colors of fall, with the changing leaves, etc. Alas, I am a Florida girl, so we are still bright and green and pretending the harvest season is near. Great great captures.
love the flower photo! great macro pictures!
These are beautiful – my favs are the last two – awesome – so clear and bright and ‘sparkly’ 😀
