This was a lot of fun this week! I had a bunch of ideas for this week’s “You Capture” assignment from Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry:
*I could have gotten shots of various rooms in our house. Andy and I aren’t scared of color on our walls, so I could have shown the red wall in our living room, our green kitchen, our blue powder room, the boys’ orange bathroom, or the yellow play room.
*I could have put in pictures from our various sporting events and team colors: Badger red, Brewers blue, or Packers green and gold (though I’m not so hot on that last one!).
*I could have gotten shots of the boys and their pink cheeks after they’ve been running around.
Instead, I started noticing all of the colors outside now that spring has sprung and flowers and trees are blooming all around. Sadly, none of these colors are actually in my own yard.
The tulips are at church, the daffodils are in my next door neighbor’s yard, the green bush is in my parents’ front yard, and the crabapple tree is in my parents’ neighbor’s yard, though there are many all around my neighborhood.
And then I started going through some old pictures, and I found these. They’re some of my favorites.
This is from Family Day at Camp Randall last summer before the Badger season started.
When I was out in California last summer for Catheroo’s birthday, we headed up to San Fran for some picture-taking and found the “Painted Ladies”, otherwise known as the houses shown during the opening credits of “Full House”!
LOVE THE double daffs!
all of the pictures are awesome! Good job!
Beautiful. All of these are great, I think my favorites are the first two, beautiful bright colors.
Such vibrant colors. I love nature!
Very pretty flowers
Love the houses. I can totally hear the opening credits of Full House. 🙂
These are all such great pics. I love the houses. And the flowers look so nice too. I will be sad once spring is over.
BEAUTIFUL flowers!! Vivid colors
I love those bright pink flowers! Lovely…
All your captures are great, but I especially love the flowers. You could print those and frame them. They are that good.
I love these shots! I think I like the first one the best!
Beautiful flowers, but my favorite is the painted ladies! How awesome that you found them and captured them so beautifully!!
the row houses are gorgeous! great, yummy light makes the colors really pop! great job.
i love flower shots – anytime, any day. that first one is really crisp and bright. not sure what kind of flower it is but it’s really pretty. thanks for sharing this week :O)
i have my color shots posted now. feel free to come visit and check them out. leave me a comment so i’ll know you were there :O). thanks.
You do realize that calling it “San Fran” is almost as bad as saying the Favre should return to the Packers. It’s just NOT DONE!
I’ll let it slide this once but if it happens again I’m changing your blog theme to a Michigan Wolverines fan theme. LOL
