Yesterday we went apple picking with some friends. It was a cool, early fall day in Wisconsin, so it felt right to be out there. According to one of the workers, they have a smaller crop this year because of the weather, but the crop they have is a very good one. We definitely agree!
Apple trees are prime climbing trees!
You always have to taste the goods!
Then it was time for the hay ride.
More apples to pick! Most of the really good ones were way up high.
I’ll have to get to work making applesauce and apple bars and apple bread soon!
this looks like a really fun day! and some great looking apples, too :). haven’t been to your blog in awhile, thanks for the link up 🙂
Oh my gosh! Darling pictures! I think you have Christmas shot in this bunch!
I think the family picture would be fantastic!
Hi Sara,
I decided to stop by after I met you at the workshop last weekend and had to snicker when I saw these apple-picking photos completely devoid of any weird strangers in the background…how nice that you had the place all to yourselves (or not–but who would know that by your photos?)! These are beautiful pics, and what a handsome bunch you are. So nice to see that you make a point of getting in some of the photos–good for you! I need to do that more often. 🙂
