I didn’t want to go with anything too traditional when it came to shapes for Beth’s challenge this week. Of course, I waited until today to figure this out, so I was kind of limited in my options, seeing as I was volunteering at Noah’s school this morning, running Caden to the doctor this afternoon after some more bouts of gastrointestinal distress, holding him down while he screamed getting his blood drawn, waiting in the waiting room for the results of his blood tests, driving home in the snow (crazy snow we had today around here!), settling in at home only to leave shortly later to go grocery shopping that couldn’t get done earlier in the day due to our unexpected trip to the doctor, then coming home, putting groceries away, eating dinner, giving baths, reading books, talking to my brother for a quick tutorial on Adobe Lightroom… Oh my goodness, I’m getting tired recapping!
Anyway, here are some of my shots of shapes from today.
A favorite shape in this house is Mickey Mouse. I would love to live closer to be able to go to Disney every year-or more often!
We still have our homemade snowflakes up on our wall, and I really love this one that Caden made at school.
There is usually some piece of original artwork on our chalkboard in the office. This is a picture by Noah.
This isn’t the prettiest picture, but I like the circle, and I love this candle! It’s “Sun and Sand” by Yankee Candles, and it smells exactly like the beach in Destin, Florida. I so want to be back at that beach. I want to introduce my boys to the wonder of the white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast. For now, this candle will have to do.
This is just one example of the many shapes of cars we have around our house. I actually love this car. We found this at Disney World last year. They had cars all over the park that were shaped like different Disney characters. We also have a Darth Vader. It’s not just Star Wars, though! I got my brother a Sorcerer Mickey car.
I’ve captured this vase before, but I love it so much, and the shape is so lovely, I had to use it again.
Time to go see some more shapes at Beth’s!
Next week: HOPEFUL
What great shots of shapes… Awesome job.
Happy Thursday

I am sorry for the stressful Dr. Visit. Your shapes are SO lovely. I would also like to live close to Disney! That would mean NO SNOW, right? : ) I am all about no snow!
Oh, that storm trooper car rocks!
Ohh, I love the last one- so pretty and I love how you can see your reflection in it-cool
Gastrointestinal distress probably yielded some interesting shapes, but I am so glad those are not the ones you chose to share. I LOVE the red in the vase. Great, interesting shape.
Great shots. I especially like the snowflake one. Very original.
Great job! I LOVE the color in the last one. Beautiful!
Wonderful captures. The color of that vase is incredible.
And I also wish that we lived closer to Disney, my son is starting to LOVE Mickey and I’m a bit upset that we won’t get to take him there as soon as I’d like.
