Andy and I just got back from seeing “Funny People“. It was hilarious! I don’t often laugh out loud at movies, but this one had me laughing a LOT! I’ve always liked Adam Sandler, and Seth Rogen is a new favorite of mine. If you can get past the crude language (there’s a lot in this movie) you’ll really enjoy it.
We saw a preview for “Inglorious Basterds“, which I definitely don’t want to see. I’m really not a Tarentino fan. But for you Tarentino fans out there, I’m sure you’ll love it, based on the preview we saw.
Another movie we saw a preview for was “Taking Woodstock“. It’s an Ang Lee film (“Brokeback Mountain”-great movie!), and it looks cool. It’s based on true events. Could be a fun one.
Finally, we saw a preview for “Couples Retreat” with Vince Vaughn (a favorite of mine), Jon Favreau, and Jason Bateman, who is truly hilarious. It looks like another good one for us. Andy and I were laughing just at the preview. Hopefully they didn’t show all of the funny parts in that two minute trailer!
Anyway, that’s about it. I haven’t done anything with my camera for a few days. Unfortunately, I didn’t take it out to the lake house yesterday. There was a gorgeous sunset, and the silhouettes it created were amazing. I started doing the daily photo thing to keep me motivated and to make me think creatively, but I’m not feeling too creative. I’ll see what I can do.
I’ll leave you with a picture from this date a year ago. I was in California with my parents celebrating my sister-in-law‘s 40th birthday. It was a great party. But these are pictures of their sweet kitty, Desmond. Daphne is a bit more camera shy.
Matte saw “Inglorious Basterds” yesterday and said it was just OK. I do want to see “Funny People,” but I read on someone’s Facebook status that it’s not funny at all! WTH?
I love these pictures of Des and you should send them to cuteoverload.com! He never jumps like that anymore – too much kibble, I’m guessing, or he figured out that feather isn’t really a bird.
