This afternoon, we were driving home from Andy’s parents’ house and we observed two pretty unbelievable incidents, one more a-hole-ish than the other.
Just after we pulled out of the driveway, we saw a car coming toward us, and it looked like the driver had just opened his door-as he was driving. We then saw a can rolling on the ground behind it. To me, that’s a-hole-ish enough. I mean, seriously, you can’t wait to get home to throw it away? But it became worse when we noticed the can was a BUD LIGHT can! That he just threw out the door of his car, while he was DRIVING, at 3:30 in the afternoon! Luckily he wasn’t swerving because Andy’s parents live on a fairly narrow road. Seriously!
Then as we were driving down the road, going about 50 miles per hour, I noticed a car ahead of us, and it looked like people were throwing punches in the car. I naturally assumed it was two people in the backseat (not that that’s really acceptable). The car had swerved a little bit, but was holding it’s own in the far left lane. As I sped up to check it out (I’m kind of a snoop), I realized there was only one person in the backseat, a man, and one person in the front seat, the driver, a woman. And she was holding the right side of her head. And he hit her again. And then he hit her again, with the back of his left hand, from the back seat. Did I mention she was driving?! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I really can’t tolerate abuse of any kind, and watching a man beat up on a woman in a car, while she’s driving is more than I can bear.
Some great examples being set in southeastern Wisconsin.
