This is what I came home to after having dinner with some girlfriends tonight: It’s the first Packer preseason game tonight, and I guess Andy’s a little excited. FYI-That’s a hard hat that my aunt sent to the boys for Christmas. […] I really don’t want to blog now. I’m reading “Change of Heart” by Jodi Picoult and I’d much rather put my jammies on, turn on the Olympics, and read. So that’s what I’m going to do. …but I’m really glad it’s not! Andy took the day off yesterday for our golf outing, and today we were at Wirth Park for Andy’s family reunion. We took the boys swimming at the kiddie pool, which is really more than a kiddie pool. It’s a mini water park. They had a blast! It renewed […] That’s how I’m feeling right now. We had a long day today. Andy and I golfed in the Majeskie family golf outing (it’s Andy’s family reunion tomorrow), and I’m pooped! It was a very long round, because there was very slow play ahead of us. I played alright, considering this was my third time […] Today we had Caden’s annual allergy appointment. For those of you who don’t know, Caden is allergic to peanuts. Not scary allergic, but he broke out in hives around his mouth about a year and a half ago when we fed him a peanut butter sandwich. We had him tested a year ago, and it […] Caden loves music. He’s always humming when he’s sucking his thumb while holding his “big blue blankie.” He sings a lot. He dances quite a bit more that Noah ever did. He’ll bust out with his air guitar for absolutely no reason. (His air guitar is actually pretty hilarious. I’ll have to get it on […] Andy is over at my parents’ house right now, helping my dad move their flat screen TV from their bedroom back down to their family room. It had been replaced by a slightly bigger TV about a year ago. That new TV was quite nice, and worked great, until today. My mom called me around […] Andy and I just got back from seeing “The Dark Knight.” I don’t know if I’m getting more sensitive as I get older, or the movies are getting more violent more intense, but I had a really hard time sitting through that whole movie! I was very much interested in going down the hall to […] Today we headed to the Wisconsin State Fair. It’s a bit of a sensory overload: food vendors, midway (aka carnival) rides, annoying carnies offering to guess your weight (there’s NO way I’m getting on a giant scale in the middle of the fairgrounds!), and tons of people. And it was pretty hot. But there’s plenty […] This morning, we headed out to Oconomowoc Lake to spend a few hours at our friend, Becky’s parents’ house. Another friend of ours, Doug, is house/dog-sitting while Becky’s parents are in Tahoe for Becky’s brother’s wedding. We swam for a bit, and Noah is getting quite brave in the water. Caden, not so much. But […] |
